System Support Engineer (Linux - various shifts)

91352 Multiple shifts available for solid support candidates with good Linux experience and customer-facing ability. You must have 2 to 5 years of experience in a Help Desk or End-User Customer Support environment. Experience in working in team-oriented environments. Windows, Unix/Linux Operating Systems, and basic Ethernet Internetworking knowledge is required. Will consider candidates for M-F 1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts AND also might be looking for someone willing to do 2 12-hour weekend shifts! The role will include troubleshooting various systems as well as taking calls from customers. The types of support will include: * Support and installation of software and applications. * To be able to resolve first level support calls related to web applications (WebLogic), telephony network, database (Oracle 9 and 10G), network issues, and server issues. * Fix issues that arise with the application by following predetermined scripts and recover actions. * Support customers calling in with support issues. * Work with the internal organizations of Engineering, Professional Service, IT, and Operations to ensure that all issues are being resolved quickly and efficiently. * Escalate requests when needed and to effectively / accurately communicate the issue & timelines for rapid problem resolution.
