Systems Engineering Manager

Our client is a $200M division of a mid-tier, publicly traded firm specializing in microwave, mobile satellite, and telecommunication gear manufacturing. With an annual growth rate in excess of 25% for the past four years, they serve a world-wide and international military customer base selling customized, high-quality microwave and mobile satellite solutions.  At this time they seek a manager to assume the management and technical leadership of a systems engineering team.  Job Description: Reporting a Vice President, you will manage a team that is responsible for the design, deployment and support of a global network which operates on a combined L-band VSAT and terrestrial communications network. In this position you will implement and verify security and IA policies and procedures under AR25-2, DoDI 8500.2 and IAVA. You will understand and adhere to the DoD IA Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and Authority to Operate (ATO). As part of your duties you will develop technical solutions to incoming RFP’s and integrate newly won work into network. This position will require an equally strong background in communication systems development as our client as a proprietary environment so experience with Red Hat Linux is required and RHCE certification desired.  A PMP is highly desired as is a CCNA or CCNP certification. We seek a balanced professional - strong management coupled with exceptional technical skills.  This position offers an excellent compensation, ranging from $90k to $130k, depending upon credentials, as well as a lucrative corporate-wide incentive plan and a very competitive benefits program.  U.S. Citizenship and an existing U.S. Government clearance required. This is a full time position.  Qualifications: BS/CS or BS/EE required, MS preferred.  6 years RF communication/Mobile satellite experience desired. 5 years Red Hat Linux experience required.  RHCE certification desired. 5 years IS/IA experience, AR25-2, DoDi 8500.2 and DIACAP highly desired. 4 years exposure IP networking and 6 years structured lifecycle methodology desired.
