Company Description Large real-estate firm Job Description Job Responsibilities for the Tax Accountant include: Preparing personal property and real property tax returns, miscellaneous tax filings and work on special projects Assisting in the preparation of amended federal, state & local tax returns as required Preparing commercial rent tax returns Preparing insurance excise tax returns Preparing unclaimed property report filings with various jurisdictions. Assisting and support federal, state & local tax audits, inquiries and correspondence Maintain notice log and ensure that inquiries are responded to in a timely manner Keeping current on Federal and State & Local tax laws, due dates and maintain the tax calendar Ensuring that the tax calendar is complete and accurate Research federal and state laws and regulations to ensure compliance with current tax laws Preparing Forms 1042/1042S, 1099-MISC and make the appropriate withholding tax payments Work with Administrative Assistant to organize tax department files Handling as/hoc assignments as necessary Required Skills 2+ years experience Attention to detail Knowledge of Vertex, SAP & Hyperion Company: Execu/Search Group Job Title: Tax Accountant Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Location: US-NY-New York City Salary/Wage: 65,000.00 - 75,000.00 USD /year Reference Id: J49704
