Team Lead - Offshore Team

88451 Cambridge software company looking to add a Team Lead to the engineering group. You will still be a hands-on, contributing member of the development team, but will also be asked to lead a team of roughly 5-10 engineers. As such, you must have strong organizational and communications skills, and must be interested in a role that is roughly 50% leadership and 50% hands-on development. Experience Required: B.A. or B.S. from a Four-Year College or University; or equivalent combination of both education and experience. 5+ years of professional experience in building commercial software products. Team leadership experience with specifically with offshore resources. Java server-side development essential, with strong understanding of memory & thread management. Strong experience with JSP and Java Servlets development experience. Solid object- and pattern-oriented design skills. Relational database skills (MySQL preferred). Experience with large-scale on-demand applications in highly available, distributed environment is desirable. Linux fundamentals. Strong business acumen and professionalism, with solid communication skills both verbal and written.
