Recruiter Job DescriptionA Smith Johnson Recruiter’s responsibility is to locate and qualify candidates to fill client resource needs. The job will involve screening resumes, interviewing applicants, matching specific candidates with specific positions and preparing required submission documentation. Smith Johnson’s success is dependent upon recruiters finding talented, highly qualified candidates to meet our client’s requirements. Qualifying candidates involves, face-to-face interviews, reference checks, and a background and technical evaluation.The Recruiter must become familiar with many IT technologies and have an understanding of how technologies work together. They also must be familiar with client job requirements, and client company culture.Requirements:· Good Interpersonal Skills: must have the ability to relate well to people and get along with a diverse industry of people. · Flexibility: Recruiter must be able to understand changing market conditions and adapt to new methodologies and work approaches. · Adaptable: Must be able to manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible.· Judgment: The recruiter must be able to read people, determine behavioral traits and make decisions on candidate marketability. Specific Duties:Work closely with Client Managers:· Understand specific requirements of client positions· Learn client culture to better define candidate requirements· Occasionally meet with clients and get better understanding of client culture.Search out quality IT professionals:· Develop techniques to locate qualified candidates· Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements.· Associate with professional organizations and user groups to build networkQualifying Candidates:· Use prescribed interviewing techniques to better screen candidates, keeping in mind legal and illegal interview questions.· Perform reference and background checks.· Discuss compensation expectationsEnter resource information into COM system· Store electronic copy of resumes, reference details in appropriate data folders· Maintain good records of candidate communications in COMRelationship with resources:· Manage and coordinate all communication with candidates.· Develop trustBuild and Maintain Pool of talented IT Professionals:· Pools should contain IT professionals with Hot technology Skills· Contact periodically to maintain relationship and candidate statusResume Submission and client interview process:· Prepare resume for presentation to client hiring managersFollow up with candidate after submission and interview processEmail resumes with compensation requirements to jhinfo@smithjohnson.com or Fax to 801-352-1079.
