User Interface Design Opportunity in Rochester, NY

We are curently looking for a User Interface Designer for our growing division located in Rochester, NY.

Our User Interaction Design team has an immediate need
for a contractor:  a skilled designer to provide
graphic/interaction design support. 

Responsibilities include:

• user interface concept development, hi-fidelity prototype
production and graphics production support
• provide visual interaction design support – creation of
assets, screens, coordination and external resources
• work with portfolio managers, business unit marketing and
technical leads, and human factors engineers to create
compelling, 'best-in-class" interaction design
• contribute to work estimates, assumptions, dependencies,
and risks to statements of work via Statement of Work
(“SOW”)
• assume responsibility for interaction design commitments
made in approved SOW
• Facilitate outsourcing by writing request for proposals,
evaluating external SOWs/proposals, and incorporating costs
into SOWs
• Works with external vendors to accomplish project
deliverables

Skills/Requirements:

• 2+ years professional experience designing and developing
interactive media and UI
• Demonstrated knowledge in interactive authoring techniques
and user-centered design methodologies
• Ability to analyze multiple project tasks, organize
workload and deliver within budget and on time
• Interpersonal skills, project management and leadership
quality leading to successful team interaction and outcomes

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Proficiency in all Adobe Creative Suite 3 applications and
interactive multimedia authoring and scripting tools such
as: Flash, HTML, XML, ActionScript
• Is fluent in graphics and office programs
• BFA Interaction Design/Graphic Design/New Media Design
