XSLT Developer

91897 Our client, a high profile publishing company in Manhattan, has multiple openings for XSLT Developers. These are 6-month minimum contract positions. You will be working on a ground breaking project! You will be customizing XML for front end templating and moving data to a new custom CMS. Musts: Person has experience with template pages not just XSLT / XML / XSLT 2.0. Strong Java / XML / XSLT / XSL. Need people that think outstide the box, are problem solvers. Functions well in team environment.Other Requirements: 6+ years of work experience in Information Technology and/or Web development applications. Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrate the ability to lead the team of people and meet deadlines. Strong Java / XML / XSLT / XSL experience required. Experience implementing content management systems required. Prefer 4+ years in Java / J2EE / Vignette / Oracle / Perl. Knowledge of Java, XML, XPath, J2EE, Servlets, Perl, EJB, JDBC, XSLT, UML. Ability to architect solutions using the technologies stated above. Ability to provide technical leadership to a team of developers. Knowledge of load/performance testing, integration testing, regression testing, unit testing Ability to execute performance tuning at the application code level and application server level. Conduct code reviews and design reviews; validate the technical approach of team members. Prepare deployment instructions, review deployment docs written by staff members. Enforce proper release management processes for all production deployments. Introduce technical best practices and provide technical mentoring to developers. Candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, with a Master's Degree preferred.Pluses: Experience overseeing offshore resources would be a major plus.
