8454-FA Engineer (Failure Analysis)

Position Details:

Hands-on engineering position chartered with identifying, analyzing and verifying root causes of failure modes of lasers products. Partner with R&D, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to improve product quality and reliability. Develop technical procedures for effective failure analysis at all levels of assembly builds.

Limited travel state side and abroad may be required from time to time.


Requirements:

 

- Laser industry experience, including hands-on experience in building lasers, particularly solid-state lasers.
- Possess service, manufacturing or R&D engineering background in analyzing design and process failure modes.
- Familiar with optics, laser crystals and nonlinear crystals specifications.
- Experience in quality and reliability testing (methods and equipment).
- Demonstrated strong and effective communication, analytical and problem solving skills working across different teams/departments, articulating findings and working to implement sound solutions.
- 3+ years lasers industry/product experience
- BS in related engineering field.
