Job Title: Account Payable Assistant

Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant located in Joliet, IL.

 

Position Summary:

Responsible for the processing, reconciliation and payment of all vendor invoices while monitoring the procurement to payment cycle.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Code supplier invoices and ensure that coding is correct. Review and audit invoices, disbursement requests, refund requests and purchase orders. Input invoices/purchase orders into SAP (approximately 200 per day). Reconcile and batch entries. Create batch lists, review invoices, post batch and print Accounts Payable Reports. Research and respond to vendor inquiries arising from inventory and operating expenditures to ensure good standing of the vendor account. This may include resolving/troubleshooting invoice/purchase order discrepancies as invoice entry errors. Separate mail and distribute once per week. Assist with the printing of payment checks.

 

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• A minimum of one year experience in accounting, customer service or other relevant disciplines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.

• Proficient PC skills using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.); SAP experience is desirable.
