Accounts Receivable Coordinator

** THE SAN RAMON REGIONAL OFFICE IS SCHEDULED TO RELOCATE TO A NEW OFFICE FACILITY IN LIVERMORE CALIFORNIA AT THE END OF 2008 **

JOB SUMMARY : This position performs routine accounting duties in support of the accounting system and is responsible for monthly deposit reconciliation, reviewing company batch details for accuracy, payment research, and other general accounting functions within the Cash Management Department.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Reconciles daily, weekly, and monthly deposits to CSG and financial institutions.
• Reconciles daily batch reports detailing all A/R payments and adjustments, and files back up /justification
• Makes the appropriate recommendations to hold or transfer inappropriate or misapplied funds and/or refunds.
• Verifies lobby receipts to the sequence and total used within each batch.
• Assists with monthly financials reports.
• Timely research of delayed payment requests relative to lockbox exceptions, misapplied payments, and pay station exceptions
• Works with all levels within Cash Management, Accounting and Finance department to ensure accurate accounting of accounts receivables.

• Ability to process information timely and in conjunction with Accounting and company controls
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
• Ability to work at a continually quick pace and meet daily, weekly and/or monthly deadlines.
• Completes other duties/projects as required in an accurate, professional and timely manner.
• Must have strong organizational and decision making skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:

• AA Degree or equivalent business, bookkeeping or accounting training
• Must be experienced in CSG
• Solid Mathematic skills
• Ability to work with all levels of employees
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access
• 1 year prior experience in Accounting
