Position: This is a temp-hire opportunity for the nations leading media, entertainment and telecommunications companies located in Newark, NJ. In bound Call Center environed. Natures of calls involve Cablevision customers calling regarding their Cable, problems, issues, technical, billing, etc. Direct customer support and service-related tasks of basic complexity within all customers service areas, including research; cable centers collections, telephone operations and control, in a manner consistent with customer service policies and procedures. Direct customer support related to tasks of basic complexity within all customer service areas. Communicate with subscribers, technicians and company representatives to provide assistance and resolve inquiries or problems. Identify, resolve and/or refer to appropriate personal customer service related issues. Access and input information on the PC. Prepare reports and perform other administrative duties as needed.
Requirement: HS Diploma or Equivalent, some college preferred. 1 year previous Call Center experience (no telemarketing) and or college degree. 1-2 years of stable customer service or call center experience with heavy volume and problem solving. Demonstrated PC experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in problem solving and math skills. Must have data entry experience, Basic Windows knowledge, Basic Math, Reading Comprehension. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Strong written, oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills that are suitable to dealing with the public a must. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Team oriented environment. Must be sharp, multi-task oriented. Must be assertive and be able to take initiative. One call solution oriented and ability to handle irate callers without 1st time escalation. Individual must be a super star, must adapt well to change, strong common sense and prove to be a quick and strategic thinker. Must be personal, self motivated and enthusiastic. Previous job stability a must. Technical/troubleshooting skills are needed. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Training: 6 weeks Mandatory Classroom training from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Attendance and Punctuality Mandatory for training.
Hours: Standard Shift is 3:00pm to 11:30pm (2nd shift). OT is available. Must be able to work weekends. Schedules will be provided after training is completed. Weekends will be included. Employee must be flexible.
Salary: $11.35 per hour to start. If hired by the company after 90 days, salary increased up to $12.98 per hour. HR based on experience with 5% shift differential after 5:00pm. (From 5:00pm-11:30pm, salary is $13.63/hr).
