Position: Business Development - National Accounts
Reports to: VP Business Development
Job Description: The National Accounts role will be responsible for managing our overall relationships with indirect channel partners (including relevant distributor and retail accounts). The individual will build relationships across each indirect partner organization; maintain merchant level and senior level relationships; develop and implement effective programs for expansion; craft creative approaches to increasing partner’s sales and lowering company’s costs; monitor execution; and review partner performance with the Sales team. The manager will also oversee outside Sales Rep organizations, engaging the support of Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, Finance, Legal and other internal divisions as required. The position is based in the San Diego metro areas and will require travel.
Responsibilities:
Communicate clear goals and objectives to the account, including productivity, positioning, and sales expectations;
Manage day to day relationships with existing national accounts at all levels, especially motivating the buying and merchandising teams;
Coordinate launch, seasonal marketing and various promotional programs with accounts in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing teams;
Develop thorough understanding of account’s organizational structure, key decision makers, strategies, strengths, and weaknesses;
Drive every opportunity for Jitterbug to add value to account partners;
Expand account volumes through creation of new merchandising programs;
Coordinate quarterly review sessions with account teams and respective Jitterbug counterparts;
Oversee account compliance with agreements, policies and programs;
Review account commissioning and payments with Finance team;
Manage Sales Reps organizations where applicable
Develop and manage internal processes required with Sales, Operations, Marketing, IT, Finance and other departments to satisfy customer requirements.
Provide market feedback on company programs and products.
Work closely with sales to achieve assigned sales quota on monthly, quarterly and annual basis, making adjustments where necessary to reach targets.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
Proven success in national retail and distributor account management
In depth knowledge of sales, sales processes and project management
Experience in the consumer wireless industry
Experience managing 3rd party rep organizations is a plus
Previous experience in a start-up environment is a plus
Excellent presentation, communication, organizational and time management skills;
Confident negotiator with strong closing ability
Hands-on, creative problem-solving approach
Ability to analyze new business opportunities
Detail oriented with a strong ability to prioritize tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft office skills, particularly PowerPoint
