TDS provides wireless, local, long-distance, Internet and high-speed data services to residential and business customers in 36 states through our U.S. Cellular and TDS Telecom / Metrocom brands. The TDS Corporate vision is to be a full business partner with the company’s business units and corporate-level customers, accomplished through recruiting well-rounded people with integrity, functional excellence and a strong customer focus.  With operations in Chicago, IL and Madison, WI, we are committed to providing a challenging career path for motivated individuals by focusing on development, career planning, and training.  Job DescriptionThe Business Objects Developer (TDS Title: Senior Application Systems Analyst / Programmer) will work closely with our financial analysis team to analyze reporting requirements, create data models, build database views, and develop canned and ad-hoc reports for scheduling and publication. The Senior ASAP will provide mentoring to team members and expand the power user community.  This position will provide leadership on small to medium size projects and participate on large projects as required.  Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Required Qualifications Associates Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or related field -OR- 2+ years relevant experience 5+ years programming experience, including functional and technical supportPreferred Qualifications Experience using Business Objects XI R2 and Crystal Reports XI R2; scheduling and publishing reports using Business Objects Infoview; and experience designing and developing Universes/Business Views. Experience developing canned and ad-hoc reports and writing reporting solutions in SQL. SAP R/3 or SAP BW; Oracle databases; PL/SQL, ERWIN, TOAD and exposure to Financial applications a plus. Versatility and independence essential. Strong analytical problem solving skills. Ability to plan and organize multiple tasks. Ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels of employees, managers, and customers, including verbal, written, and active listening, exercising tact and diplomacy.
