CAD Designer - Telecommunications
POSITION DESCRIPTION: CAD Designer, telecommunications facilities. Perform graphics and drafting duties in support of telecommunication development projects. Reports to the company A&E Manager, who is a registered civil engineer. Work includes:
- Development, implementation and maintenance of CAD standards in conjunction with other company offices
- Prepare design drawings for telecom projects including site design, grading, storm water drainage, access roadways, equipment and facility layouts from site sketches and/or existing drawings and survey information.
- Prepare electrical one line drawings, RF schematics, equipment shelter floor layouts from guidelines and site sketches of existing conditions.
- Attend site visits to collect necessary data and dimensions of existing facilities.
- Be familiar with telecom industry standards, building and electrical codes.
- Manage/operate printing equipment
- Modifies drawings by analyzing, resolving, and incorporating changes
- Documents work by recording data and drawings; updating databases

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 4+ years experience in telecommunication design and site layout. Background Requirements and Qualities include:
Education--Formal training in AutoCAD drafting design technology.
Computer literate including AutoCAD, MS Office and related software.
A team player that communicates well with others in a professional manner.
Attention to detail is critical and must follow standards.
