CAD Technician

 

Molalla Communications has an opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician to join our Engineering team.  The successful candidate will develop and maintain a digitized mapping system and accompanying continuing property records database.   This skilled professional will be responsible for maintaining detailed CAD facilities maps as well as drawings of telecommunications equipment sites and vault details.

 

Successful applicant must have the ability to read and thoroughly comprehend copper & fiber cable records, schematics, and exhibit an expertise in database procedures. A high proficiency in the use of computer aided drafting equipment is required. The ideal candidate will have 4 years prior AutoCAD or Micro Station drafting experience.  A minimum of 4 years telecommunications experience is a requirement.

 

Skill requirements include design techniques, production of technical plans, blue prints, section map drawings, and models. Proficiency in Martin group GEO/CAD procedures preferred, knowledge of Mapcom Systems ideal.
