Sales/Retail/Business Development Career Level:   Experienced (Non-Manager) Company:   Level 3 Reference Code:   8386 CDN Sales Specialist Requirements The Account Director will focus on a list of targeted account(s) and will own quota fulfillment responsibility through selling to new accounts, as well as up-selling and cross-selling to any assigned account where a Level 3 relationship already exists. This job will focus on account penetration and retention activities, including the full range of prospecting, selling, closing and ongoing account management with a particular focus on Level 3's Content Distribution Network product offering. In addition, the Account Director will be required to interact/coordinate/strategize on the overall target account(s) and contribute to the development and implementation of the Account Development Plan. Candidates must have the ability to prospect, sell and close at multiple levels. One must also have the ability to handle complex sales and negotiations and develop integrated solutions to customer requirements. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of the telecommunications industry, and in particular, knowledge of and experience with selling content delivery network services (CDN). Further, the candidate must have the ability to develop strong relations with customers at decision-making levels, work productively in team assignments, define and execute sales strategies and communicate clearly and concisely through professional presentations. The Account Director will be responsible for developing and executing the Account Development Plan and manage the sales cycle to forecast accurately. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with knowledge of the specific accounts, which they would be assigned to sell into and maintain. This individual must be results oriented and have a proven track record showing high leadership qualities. He/she will need to show demonstrated success in dealing with large order volumes, have a history of running and managing groups/accounts and not only thrive on change, but drive it as well. The ideal candidate will have made undeniable contributions to a growing and successful business environment. Required Skills & Experience: * Technical working knowledge of IP data video and voice applications. * Financial background and understanding of Total Cost of Ownership model. * Direct sales experience in the Content Distribution Network (CDN) space *Proven track record of success for the bulk of their sales career *Viewed as a Trusted Advisor by their customers *Operates at the CXO level consistently *Top 5% of Sales Force at the existing employer#m All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
