Cable Technician

DataVox combines comprehensive enterprise network services with its diverse vendor-independent portfolio of Voice, Data, Structured Cabling and IP Telephony which provides companies with a total solution. Experience in installation and testing associated with Network cabling -Cat.3, Cat 5, Cat.5e, Cat.6, Fiber Optic, Coax, Risers and Tie Cables. Ability to interpret CAD design drawings and adhere to BICSI - EIA - TIA specifications. Must have overall understanding and knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and voice and data applications. Candidate must possess solid experience in complete pre-cabling preparation, installation of patch panels, punch down 66/110 blocks, 110-patch panel, and various data and voice jacks. Install, terminate, and test all forms of communication cabling.

A successful applicant will have 1-2 years proven cable experience with CAT 5, CAT 3, and Fiber Optics.

 

It is imperative that the individual have strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate with customers. He/she must be a self starter, fast learner, clean driving record, reliable transportation and ability to use to haul equipment to/from job sites.

 

The ideal candidate will have EXCELLENT communication skills, very reliable, hard working and able to work independently.
