Career Development Coordinator

The Career Development Coordinator is responsible for working with HR and CU to provide support to Technical Operations to manage the CommTech advancement process and administration. This position is responsible for supporting the Technical Career Path in meeting the program objectives of fostering the development of our technical employees to meet the needs of the business.

Functions/Responsibilities

Works with HR/CU/Management to ensure all employees have a clear understanding of their role in maximizing the opportunities to build skills and knowledge within the field Career Models.

Manages the front line employee database to accurately track career development needs.

Works with local management and CU to plan and forecast needed certification/training (in-house and third party.

Works with local management, CU and HR to ensure the processing of appropriate pay adjustments and documentation to support promotions, progressions and certifications within the Career Paths.

Works with local management and CU to identify proctors according to skills and abilities needed.

Works with CU to ensure proctors attend the appropriate training to do a quality job.

Provides support where needed in assisting Supervisors and CU with the development of employees. Ensures knowledge and use of courseware map to provide appropriate learning activities for each technician including: Practice activities, classroom training, and self-paced learning programs.

Works with Recruiting to ensure appropriate testing and tracking of new hires.

Supports the progression process to ensure consistency and accuracy across the market.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to instruct and coach others
Knowledge of current Career Development Programs
Advanced knowledge of the CommTech positions
Experience dealing with confidential issues.
Advanced knowledge of company's goals, policies and procedures
Knowledge of video, HSD and Telephony, CDV products and pricing
Ability to create and implement motivational tools or job aids
Proficient verbal, written and interpersonal and time management skills
Aware of safety guidelines and procedures
Proficient to Advanced computer skills
Knows and follows the company's compliance, confidentiality, safety and loss prevention policies and procedures
Strong Initiative

Ability to handle multiple priorities

Solution oriented
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid drivers' license.
