Construction Rep 2

Major Duties –
Perform overhead/underground construction duties such as placing hard-line cables, frame and strand poles, lash/overlash cable, transfer facilities between poles, place cable in joint trench, safe operation of construction vehicles and cable trailers.
Perform physical labor such as digging trenches, climbing poles and ladders for plant construction, maintenance and upgrade.
Other duties as assigned.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or the recognized equivalency.
-Knowledge of all hardware, cable types and related equipment.
-Aerial construction experience a plus.
-Ability to complete Pole transfers
-Ability to construct strand/cable
-Ability to overlash fiber onto existing plant
-Ability to read and interpret system design prints.
-Ability to lift 80 lbs. to chest level on a continual basis throughout the day.
-Ability to climb utility poles.
-Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
CDL license required within 1st 90 days of employment
-Ability to operate heavy machinery as needed.
-Ability to work overtime as needed.
