Job Description Consultant-Benefits p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Responsibilities This position will play an integral role in the design, implementation, administration and communication of all aspects of the Verizon Wireless Health & Welfare Benefit Plans. The successful candidate will be involved in project management, vendor relationships, employee interactions and daily workload. They will be expected to work independently to achieve results yet be able to function as a team member. Responsibilities will include resolving issues, managing projects, writing effective employee communications that will empower employees to take healthy actions, interacting with vendors, Field HR, and tracking costs. p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Qualifications Three to five years of Benefits administration experience with a focus on employee medical, Rx, dental, life and AD&D, and flexible spending accounts. A college degree with relevant experience including a proven track record of independent and team success is required. Proficient in the development and implementation of effective employee communications. Experience in developing creative solutions that encourage employee participation in wellness initiatives. Must have a solid foundation of the Federal regulations that govern health and welfare plan administration including COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, IRS Code section 125 and SPD maintenance. Experience with the process of maintaining eligibility and data files that are transmitted to vendors. Candidates should be very proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
