Job Description Consultant-Visual Merch p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Duties and Responsibilities: " The GP Region Merchandising Consultant position is an area level position." Communication and implementation of National and Area promotional and merchandising initiatives; ensuring that all guidelines and deadlines are met. Follow HQ and Area plan-o-grams, referring to HQ standards to maximize space and highlight new products and promotions. " Serve as a point of contact to GP Retail Location Management Team; responsible for ensuring consistency of all merchandising standards in all retail locations in the GP Market. " Organize a complete and comprehensive location travel schedule to visit locations a minimum of once every quarter additional visits will be required as follow up during the quarter based on the needs and/or challenges of locations. 75% travel expected." Perform store visits to ensure that merchandising guidelines are being followed; offer merchandising training and support to the Store Management team, as well as store merchandising contacts; order needed store merchandising materials, and ensure VZW locations plan-o-grams and updates are communicated on time in a clear and concise format." Responsible for ensuring consistency of all merchandising standards in all retail locations in the GP Markets; this will include but not limited to completing a merchandising checklist quarterly for all GP locations, ensuring Merchandising Mystery Shop scores reach 95% or better quarterly, and prepare merchandising presentations for conference calls and monthly GP Store Manager meetings & District Meetings as necessary. Follow up with all channels is important." Assist with all store build projects including new locations, remodels, and relocation of existing locations; responsible for ordering all merchandising elements and fixtures for build projects; will determine positioning of sales walls and all merchandising elements, and assist with implementation of each project. Work closely with Regional Design and Construction Manager and Regional Facilities Manager during process and participate on location build conference calls." Represent Great Plains by serving as a point of contact for all merchandising needs." Respond to all Area and National requests in a timely manner to meet all deadlines." Work with and support Regional President, Regional Store Director, District Managers, Sales Operations Department, and Real Estate and Facilities Departments on merchandising programs that target specific store key performance indicators; assist in identifying existing opportunities and the development of process efficiencies. p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Qualifications" Three plus years experience in Retail Merchandising or related field merchandising experience required." Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required. " College degree and or equivalent experience preferred." Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are required." The ability to travel within the GP market at a minimum of three days per workweek is required including overnight stays when needed. Additional Area travel for meetings and visits occur at times throughout the year." Candidate must be available to work alternate hours as business needs dictate (prior to store opening or after store closing), and weekends as needed."
