Overview

Large national marketing company seeks a Corporate Paralegal to support in-house counsel and the Chief Administrative Officer at our North Fort Worth office.  At least two years of paralegal experience required, along with paralegal certification.  College degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will assist in drafting, managing, organizing and filing various documents related to corporate transactions and conducting on-going legal research.Maintains, analyzes and evaluates case files for relevant facts and legal conceptsInvestigates case files for legal deficiencies  (e.g. missing documents, inconsistent material, leads not investigated) Researches, evaluates and analyzes relevant Federal, state and local laws in various jurisdictions Gathers, sorts, classifies and interprets statistical data relevant to business practicesInterviews relevant personnel and potential witnesses to gather information Performs statistical evaluations such as standard deviations, analyses of variance, means, modes and ranges as supporting data for case litigation May testify in court concerning relevant dataAssist the CAO with special projects as needed.

 

QualificationsHigh school diploma along with a Paralegal Certification from an ABA accredited institution, the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) or the National Federation of Paralegal AssociationsCollege degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred2+ years experience as a paralegalAdministrative and/or office experience requiredStrong research abilities a mustMust possess organizational and initiative skillsExcellent attention to detail required; ability to multi-task Excellent written and communication skillsProficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, LexisNexis or Westlaw required
