Customer Sales Representative

POSITION:  CUSTOMER SALES REPRESENTATIVE (PART-TIME)DEPARTMENT: CUSTOMER SERVICE

 

PURPOSE: 

To initiate telephone calls to sell cable TV and cable modem services.

 

DUTIES AND OBJECTIVES:

·  Utilizes automatic telephone dialer and/or other methods to conduct outbound telephone calls to current and potential customers to sell/upgrade cable services.

·  Utilizes CSG computer billing system to look up accounts, enter data and close work orders.

·  Processes customer requests for installations, upgrades, and downgrades.

·  Contacts existing subscribers by telephone to optimize sales opportunities.

·  Performs data entry to input sales orders to the computer billing system

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·  Must possess the ability to learn and execute telephone marketing/selling techniques successfully.

·  Must possess basic and accurate typing skills.

·  Must possess working knowledge of spreadsheet software applications. 

·  Must be able to adhere to volume of telephone calls and sales levels set by department standards.

·  High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

·  Must possess previous sales experience preferably in the telesales field.

·  Basic knowledge of and experience utilizing personal computers

·  Data entry experience preferred.

· Excellent verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, courteously, informatively and persuasively.

·  Ability to sell through effective communications.

·  Must possess basic math skills

·  Must be able to continuously learn and retain knowledge of new services and promotions being offered by the company.

·  Must be able to memorize computer input codes.

·  Able to understand customer comments and transfer information for tracking purposes.
