DSL Support Technician

Responsible for providing technical or process expertise for application development projects or infrastructure development activities. Assists in the introduction of new processes or technology. Able to work independently and provides guidance to less experienced staff. Understanding and experience with software / hardware platforms, operating systems, and languages. Education: College degree in computer related field or equivalent experience. 3-5 yrs experience in computer applications or supportProvides DSL and email related support Responsibilities include: Configuring Routers and switches to include but not limited to Cisco, Linksys, D-Link, Netgear, and Zyxel. Provide technical support for DSL customers and businesses. Provided technical support to DSL Field Technicians and Internet Service Providers (ISP’s). Support and troubleshoot High Speed Data (HSD) issues for hotels including Server and Guest issues. End user support for customers at Military Bases. Troubleshoot configuration issues on pc’s and laptop. Provision and troubleshoot issues relating to DSLAMs, and Aggregators. Advise customers and Field Techs on how to set up routers, configure routers to ATM, Ethernet, DHCP, or with a static IP, change routers into bridges and back. 24x7 shop- however staggered shifts that rotate every 3-4 months and the shifts are bid on. Latest shift could start around 1pm. This position will start as a 6 month contract.
