Data Activations Engineer

We deliver service on our own leading-edge integrated network with around-the-clock surveillance, troubleshooting and maintenance at our Network Operations Center. We serve our customers with one-call customer service efficiently handled by caring associates using our proprietary OPENnet™ software.

We are presently seeking an Engineer to perform provisioning tasks on our Internet (VoIP), MPLS, Point to Point, Managed Services and Frame Relay Platforms.



 

Responsibilities:Pre-build customer specific configurations on Edge Routers for new Internet (VoIP), MPLS and Managed Services. Provision customer specific configurations on Frame Relay Switches for new Frame Relay Services. Manage, administrate, and take appropriate actions on IP requests per IP allocation policies. DNS setup and administration for all customer domain names w/ associated zone files. Stage CPE Cisco router configurations for installation by Field Technicians or Vendors. Direct Field Technicians or Vendors at customer premises for activation of all Data Services. Network Monitoring setup and administration on Broadview Platform for all Data Services.

Requirements:

 

Qualified individuals should possess at least 2-3 years Wide Area Networking experience, with a solid background in TCP/IP and DNS. Prior Cisco and/or Telecommunications desired.
