Database Analyst

The CRM Database Analyst will work closely with the Director of CRM to analyze customer trends and behaviors, arrest churn and increase customer value. The analyst will be instrumental in defining the requirements, data elements, and methods for supporting CRM projects.  Projects include development of lists for win back campaigns, retention campaigns, analysis of strategic initiatives, preparation and presentation of reports, and support for data mining and statistical modeling.   This position requires strong oral and written skills and the ability to prioritize amongst multiple tasks and projects.  Support CRM director by:  Working closely with CRM Director on brainstorming ways for converting data findings into diverse variety of projects identifying creative ways to align data with CRM initiatives that support the company’s overall marketing/business strategy. Translating marketing analysis requirements into queries; includes identification appropriate data elements, extraction of data from the customer database and manipulation/transformation of the data into a usable format. Generating lists for marketing campaigns based on specific criteria, can lists for analysis and reporting. Consult on best criteria to use to satisfy campaign or analysis needs. Create reporting and analysis infrastructure to support repeat and ad hoc projects. Transform data from queries and analysis projects into reports and visual presentation formats. Liaising between IT/Billing personnel, outside vendors and other Marketing personnel in support of CRM projects.Qualifications/Requirements:  3-5 years of experience in an information support role for a marketing department Experience with querying large complex databases to support marketing analysis projects Experience with campaign management tools and data mining tools a plus Strong Project Management Skills Advanced Excel Skills, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Advanced SQL QueryBenefits: Startec offers a comprehensive benefits package.
