Position Description:

. Position Objective (Statements and tasks that drive high-level job responsibilities and accountabilities.)1. Responsible for development, integration, and implementation of enterprise applications. 2. Mid Level developer who has technical skills and experience in enterprise application systems development, projects development, and projects administration.3. A technical resource critical in the successful design, development, quality assurance, and implementation of computer software applications.4. This position requires proven skills building and integrating applications, a thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle with emphasis on implementing production level systems in a rapid application development and/or prototyping environment, and other job-related activities and duties as requested.5. Requires strong development skills; provides technical consulting to management, business users, and technical associates; and works closely with other developers as a mentor.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills• Familiarity with Application Servers Application Server Tuning.• Database: Oracle, MySQL, database design and administration.• Languages: 3+ years Java programming, including J2EE, and JMS. Java (SE), Java Collection Framework, XML/XSLT reg exp and string parsing.• Methodologies: Object Oriented Programming.• Operating Systems: Linux (RedHat EL), Unix, Solaris.• Software Version Control:• Experience with applications using WSDL, SOAP, and networking communication protocols, TCP/IP, Telnet.• Industry Specific: • Modeling: PL/SQL and data modeling experience.• Communications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely; ability to present ideas and facts; and the ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a team.• Education: A Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences, physical sciences, mathematics, or five (5) years equivalent work experience.• Experience: Must have 5+ years demonstrable applications development, integration, and implementation experience.• Initiative: The ability to work under minimal supervision and maintain own workflow.• Corba, SNMP, TL1, Open Source development tools and standards; Laszlo, AJAX, Macromedia Flash, Struts rich Internet application (RIA) frameworks / technologies; strong understanding of web standards. Preferred Skills• Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, Weblogic, Plumtree Portal• Informix• HTML, CSS, XML, XPATH related technologies. Previous experience with network element provisioning software.• Experience working with any formal SDLC.• Windows 2xxx, XP.• Experience working with revision control tools like Subversion and CVS.• • Telecommunications work experience; familiarity with switched and data networks. Previous experience with DMS, Lucent 5E and other class 5 switches; Sonus policy switch, Sylantro call treatment switch. Experience with IP routing and VPN technologies.• Cross browser optimization; basic skills with graphics (Photoshop etc.).
