Sales/Retail/Business Development Career Level:   Experienced (Non-Manager) Company:   Level 3 Reference Code:   8603 Dir, Sales Requirements The Sales Director will be instrumental in driving the company's growth and exceeding revenue targets in our Content Delivery Network organization. This position is responsible for daily management of the Sales and Sales support teams and the overall customer experience within the assigned territory and customer base. Dimensions: Develops and ensures attainment of new sales/revenues and margin growth for strategic accounts which contribute to the Company's bottom line; increasing revenue to meet or exceed company revenue and market share objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Ensuring attainment of EBIDTA by managing expenses and ensuring strong profitability for every sales opportunity that meets corporate budgetary expectations. Knowledge Required: ? Demonstrated sales management experience Content Distribution Network product offerings ? Exceptional strategic planning, account management and contract negotiations skills required ? Experience is consultative sales techniques and account planning (including account profiling, account positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long range account management strategies ? A clear track record for consistently exceeding revenue goals ? Success leading and managing large sales teams ? Proven ability to hire, manage and motivate successful, solution oriented sales teams ? Strong record in developing and assigning geographic territories and customer/prospect modules ? Demonstrated leadership ability, people-management and mentoring SKILLS: Technical knowledge related to content delivery network services (CDN). ? Experience at being a strategic member of sales management team who contributes significantly to growth and development of the business ? High energy level and demonstrated drive to succeed ? Employment of ethical business practices required. Human Relations Skills: Strong personal leadership skills, including planning, goal-setting, resource allocation, objectives negotiation, team management techniques and group problem solving. Strong interpersonal skills. Problem Solving Develops and ensures attainment of sales/revenues and objectives for overall customer segment. Must be able to meet and exceed monthly goals. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Formulate account strategies to grow the business and the relationships within Sports accounts 2. Develop and maintain account plans and detailed financial forecast 3. Develop new business opportunities with partner companies with complementary technology 4. Clearly articulate the unique value proposition of the Company in technical and business terms and achieve customer satisfaction in all transactions 5. Conduct accurate sales forecasting and achieve sales targets 6. Support and develop initiatives across Sales and across the Company focused on sales productivity and efficiency 7. Business owner of several key sales support processes including opportunity management and forecast management, the overall sales process, territory/customer-prospect module management and sales certification 8. Develop and execute sales plans: sector strategies, hiring plans, territory management systems, and compensation plans 9. Drive individual product profitability and optimize sales volumes 10. Oversee and participate in programs that ensure the attainment of expense objectives, recommends programs to control and correct budget overruns 11. Expand opportunities into untapped product portfolios and develop sales propositions 12. Hiring and managing sales team, including training and development, setting goals, monitoring and appraising performance and initiating corrective action 13. Participating in refining, executing, and managing overall sales strategy to ensure alignment with Company strategies and plans 14. Develop and implements specific programs and account strategies consistent with the economic trends and environmental factors to position strategic products, strengthen competitive position, ensure client satisfaction, and meet/exceed revenue objectives. 15. Tracks company performance and prepares appropriate reports as required 16. Communicates overall strategies and responsibilities to the sales team. 17. Supervises sales support staff and ensures that clerical functions and objectives are met. 18. Maintains professional attitude at all times. 19. Maintains good working relationship with all team members and office staff. 20. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident. 21.
