 Job Summary:

 

The Director, Product Line Management will be responsible for Product Line Management for the overall OSS programs as well as corporate solutions. The OSS product line includes capabilities in site management, element management and network management. Specifically, site management, site maintnenance and control, backhaul management and control, fault management, performance management, capacity management and executive reporting.  This position will assume ownership and responsibility for all product vision, direction and management on one of the company’s product lines. Manages the Profit and Loss (P & L) Statement for the product line, determines the product line strategy, and implements that strategy by defining product releases, architecting solutions, and leading the cross functional and organizational teams.

Responsibilities include: 
Development and execution of the Product Line financial plan and market pricing, Product Line direction focused on the business value to customers, business case development for the commercialization of the Product Line, features and applications and identification of opportunities to develop or acquire new products Full P & L responsibility including the negotiation of development efforts and scheduled with Operations and Engineering. Responsibility for the product roadmap/plan of record and insurance that the Product Line is focused on a proposition that will win in a competitive marketplace Competitive analysis, build/buy/partner strategies, pricing and packaging Interaction with the sales team and marketing personnel to guarantee revenue and customer satisfaction objectives Being the customer requirement advocate and market advocate. Delivering executive level and management level Product Line pitches and demonstrations. Representation of customer requirements at technical meetings within the company. Ability to handle any problem that may typically arise and offer creative solutions to unique cases, negotiation skills to work with others and other organizations to maintain parity and business success within the corporation

Required Qualifications:Direct and indirect management experience with a proven track record for personal development and team building. Strong knowledge of customer requirements for Network Management OSS, site management / control and backhaul management / control. Familiarity with wireless service assurance products and services is desirable, including, but not limited to service quality management, fault management, performance management and capacity management Familiarity with the Radio Access Network, Network Elements, Element Management Systems, etc., is a must. Ability to interpret customer requirements, document requirements for Engineering costing and coding exercises, meet with customers/potential partners that have products that complement the overall Kentrox Product Line. Candidate must understand and synthesize computing technology capabilities with customer business needs to establish new software architectures supporting a variety of scalability, extensibility, manageability, and maintainability objectives. Requires grounding in technology coupled with strong business acumen, particularly product management experience. Preferably, bachelor’s degree in technology with graduate degree (MBA) in business or similar. Ability to meet and correspond with Executive Level staff within customers and partners is vital. International business experience and an understanding of the nuances between domestic and International business is critical to the future success for the position and Kentrox. Practical product management experience is essential. Experience in the telecommunications industry is required Proven ability to influence and lead customer engagements Excellent oral and written communication and inter-personal skills, resourceful, self-motivated, results-oriented Travel will be required approximately 25-60% of the time in this position
