Job Summary /Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Vice President, the Director of Sales for Global Accounts-California will be responsible for:
Essential Functions:
· Lead the process of developing and managing strategic business plans that drive retention, penetration, profitability and growth of new and existing accounts within Fortune 500 companies based in California.
· Responsible for the overall sales strategy, sales activities and
· Accurately forecast sales opportunities and execute sales strategy to ensure that growth and profitability are achieved/exceeded
· Establish employee performance goals and measurements and partner with them to obtain results
· Conducts regular account reviews with direct reports to ensure maximum sales efforts.
· Lead the customer account relationships by developing and maintaining high profile relationships with executive customer contacts
· Strategically work with Account Directors and Global Account Managers to analyze the market and determine sales growth potential and to reach revenue targets
· Build talent pipeline; Coach, train and motivate and grow Account Directors and Global Account Managers
· Effective communications with direct reports, management, customers and support staff.
· Provides weekly and ad hoc reports to VP.
· Conducts sales presentations to key customer executive decision-makers.
· Reports directly to the Vice President
Travel: Will vary- but generally no more than 25%
Basic Qualifications, Skills and Education:
· Candidate must have a minimum of 10-12 years progressively responsible sales management experience in the High Tech industry.
· Candidate must have a minimum of 8 + years of successful Sales Management experience within the Telecommunications industry in a sales management role; directly supervising a sales team.
· Must have extensive knowledge of all Voice, Data, and IP products.
· Existing strong relationships within Fortune 500 accounts in California
· Global account experience developing, managing and leveraging significant internal and external working relationships with senior-level executives (CEO, CFO, etc.)
· Experience forecasting, planning and results achievement
· Solid track record of meeting and exceeding sales or other equally challenging business objectives
· Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
· Able to anticipate and adapt to rapidly changing, growth-oriented environment
· Results driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency
· Recognizes and rewards achievements of the team
Excellent communication skills required
· Must possess strong leadership qualities.
· Must be highly driven, competitive and lead by example.
· Strong hiring skills required for the purpose of taking the CA team to the next level.
· Account planning skills and the ability to effectively direct sales strategy with the team a must qualification.
· Must possess the ability to recognize opportunities within multiple business departments with each large account.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Education:
· Bachelors degree in business, finance or related subject strongly desired; MBA preferred
