About this Opportunity:
The Director of Business Development is a sales relationship manager with extensive experience creating new leads and establishing high level relationships within wireless carriers. This position must secure new client contracts for the provision of third party services to such clients. Such services would center on negotiation, financing, management and/or administration of wireless site leases. Works with Operations, Finance, Legal/Contracts and other internal staff members to develop proposals and close deals. Extensive wireless experience and related client connections within corporate entities are critical elements necessary for success.
Essential Job Functions:
· Prospect for and identify new business opportunities with wireless carriers within assigned territories/projects/etc. Identify and develop relationships with key contacts in these companies to understand their desire for Md7’s negotiation, financing, management, and/or administration services. Must be able to independently develop and manage his or her own acquisition pipeline and meet or exceed monthly performance metrics.
· Manage wireless carrier accounts from inception to closing. Negotiate business terms according to corporate guidelines. Act as the primary liaison between the client and Md7’s Executive team and other stakeholders in the planning and implementation of assigned projects. Responsible for maintaining and managing the client’s expectations and be able to recommend business solutions/alternatives for projects.
· Accurately forecast, maintain and report acquisition pipeline and drive deal closure within assigned territories/projects/etc. Maintain account, contact, and opportunity information in CRM application.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent recent work experience in wireless services sales or marketing organization required.
Experience Required:
· 5 or more years in corporate level sales / business development with experience in the wireless industry. Recent experience in wireless network management for one of the tier one U.S. wireless companies is strongly preferred. Alternatively, recent experience selling enterprise asset management software and services, preferably in real estate, is acceptable. The successful candidate for this position will have proven success selling multimillion dollar products to Fortune 500 companies.
· 2 or more years in property management, real estate, and/or cell site acquisition, inclusive of the leasing process and lease administration preferred. Ideally in the wireless industry.
· Excellent knowledge and understanding of the sales/acquisition process, relationship sales and the ability to navigate across complex environments.
· Experience negotiating lease contracts and related business terms.
· Strong prospecting experience. Current contacts in wireless industry required.
· Superior written and verbal communication skills, especially to high level decision makers and executives.
· Excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently and motivate and coordinate resources.
· Working knowledge of the real estate and/or financial industry and terminology.
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (email and calendaring), Word, Excel and Power Point, as well as a working knowledge of CRM application.
