Director of Marketing

Position Background:  The Director of Marketing will be responsible for creating a company-wide Competitive Intelligence program to provide actionable and timely competitive intelligence to Sales and Marketing. 

 

Responsibilities:

 Develop pricing and promotions to take advantage of BVN strengths and/or competitor weaknesses.Provide regular training on competition within the branch offices.Track churn and acquisition by competitor.Establish market-specific incentives to counter competitive threats.Create and maintain a database of competitive rates and offers on Inside View.Develop and launch vertical markets program for Broadview Networks to drive vertical penetration, incremental revenue growth and customer retention.Work with BCP group to join industry associations. Acquire/distribute industry specific leads.Append SIC code & NAICS code to customer files for Vertical Market Analysis (line size, growth prod. Penetration, size of base, market share, etc.).  Develop industry-specific value propositions and marketing communications. Customize proposal content and presentations to address industry requirements.Develop industry specific solutions (bundles) in cooperation with Product Marketing.  Produce reports to assess the effectiveness of promotions.

 

Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Sciences.3-5 years experience in telecommunications or closely related field (VAR, CPE manufacturer, VoIP provider, software developer interconnect company).Strong verbal and written communicator.Proven ability to understand technology services.Maintains positive working relationships.Fluency with Microsoft Office, Visio and Access.
