Divisional Technical Director of Learning & Development

Comcast is seaking a dynamic leader who will partner with our team to ensure our employees are trained on cutting edge technologies.

• Serves as a member of the West Division Comcast University leadership team.
• Collaborates with the corporate and market CU teams to identify future trends and establish a learning strategy for technical operations. Actively participates on the Comcast University Technical Learning Council.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify and diagnose gaps in technical effectiveness. Recommend solutions and interventions to achieve desired level of capability throughout the organization.
• Supervise the development and revision of instructionally sound programs and materials, track and monitor results, ensure consistency of information (concepts) and materials, conduct train-the-trainers and provide coaching support to technical trainers within the markets; facilitate technical and leadership development classes as appropriate, measure and assess effectiveness of programs and look for ways to continually improve initiatives and programs
• Provides support to the markets in developing the CU technical training staff.
• Identifies performance metrics and uses performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of technical learning solutions.
• Partners with the corporate CU and Technical Operations team to ensure the technical and dispatch career paths are aligned with and support the needs of the evolving business.
• Builds strong partnerships with key technical stakeholders in the markets and secures business sponsors for technical training initiatives.

Required Skills:
To be successful in this role the candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• 8- 10 years of training and development experience
• 5 -years of technical and/or customer facing experience
• Led and oversaw major programs and initiatives across large, multi-function organizations
• Successfully managed relationships with vendors, educational institutions and community organizations
• Excellent relationship building and influence skills
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills to assess gaps and make recommendations
• Solid business acumen
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) to senior leadership

Formal Education/Degree: The academic preparation/degree that is required for the job.
• BS/BA or equivalent
• Masters preferred
