Job Description E-Learning Curriculum Developer p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Responsibilities THIS IS A VIRTUAL POSITION THAT CAN BE BASED IN THE FOLLOWING VZW LOCATIONS: LAUREL, MD; ALPHARETTA, GA; BELLEVUE, WA; SCHAUMBURG, IL; HOUSTON, TX; CHANDLER, AZ; ORANGEBURG, NY; HILLIARD, OH." Gathers educational requirements, performs analysis, authors instructional specifications and develops design documentation for medium to large-scale e-learning projects. Works as a team member in the selection of application and integration project activities, on a periodic basis." Manages all aspects of online learning course development and Electronic Performance Support implementation, from program or application concepts to recommending optimal instructional methods and/or blended learning solutions to post program measurement of training transfer and performance improvement for the corporation. Focusing on projects related to directional system enhancements, new systems, and operational processes, and other e-learning projects to support the needs of the business." Participates as a critical team member responsible for the design and implementation of a new corporate-wide learning content management system that will deliver on a significant percentage of new training programs." Responsible for producing high quality online learning deliverables, on time under aggressive deadlines, for interactive training courseware, including the design of course content, interactions and graphics." Manages external interactive training vendors in the evaluation, design, development and implementation of e-learning courseware." Performs technical evaluations of web-based software and products for used in e-learning development." Completes assigned technical tasks on time, e.g. analysis, designing, development, implementation, testing, monitoring, maintenance, production support, documentation, etc." Performs ongoing analysis, resolution activities, and provides solutions to Area Curriculum Liaisons and Workforce Development functional partners." Successfully completes all relevant general and technical training programs in accordance with departmental performance agreement goals and objectives." Manages needs analysis process to ensure that requirements for key technical knowledge and skill sets are identified. Employs a variety of methods to gather requirements, including but not limited to: measurement data, online surveys, focus groups, first hand observation, and interviews." Identifies key business objectives to be met, and appropriate measurements for success in the using new systems or functionality in all customer-facing channels of the business. p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Qualifications Required Experience:" B.S./B.A. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience." 3 5 years e-learning development experience." Demonstrated strong e-learning instructional design skills." Knowledge of all aspects of interactive web-based training, from platform selection to design and measurement." Demonstrated technical and analytical skills, including the ability to understand and convey complex technical information." PC and desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, etc.) competency." Competency in e-learning and performance support development tools such as Adobe Flash, Captivate, Breeze, Dreamweaver, Robohelp and Photoshop (or similar tools)" Ability to direct multiple projects to superior quality delivery." Working knowledge of applicable methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures." Strong interpersonal skills." Decision-making and management aptitudes." Excellent organizational and problem solving skills." Excellent project management skills." Strong verbal and written communications." Knowledge of AICC and SCORM specifications and their role within e-learning Preferred:" 2 3 years of technological applications experience."
