This position is part of Nokia's Services and Software unit which is the growth engine for Nokia’s business. The unit delivers new, profitable Ovi-branded services that delight consumers and enterprises, increase the value of Nokia’s devices and fundamentally change the perception of Nokia in the market. The team creates a combined device and internet experience that people fall in love with. Context, Advertising and Emerging Markets service line drives businesses based on location, maps, search and navigation with special emphasis on advertising-based business models. In addition, this service line is also responsible for the Services & Software Unit’s new business innovation and developing services for emerging markets. In this team, you can be part of creating a new contextually aware internet.

Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead a multi-site development team. In your new role you will take charge of the development activities from requirement definition phase to product delivery. You will be a key player as we extend our product offering in the enterprise mobility area. This is a new and exciting initiative, and we are looking for a high energy professional to join our team.

An ideal candidate would have:
5-10 years of R&D work, project and line management experience
SW development technology and process expertise
Demonstrated expertise in following technologies would be highly desirable:
· Java
· C++
· C# .NET
· Symbian

Proven track record of on-time delivery over multiple complete product cycles
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Experience of handset as well as server development
3rd party subcontracting management experience
In addition, you are a self starter, good at networking both inside and outside of the company, posses great analytical, organizational and problem solving skills, are flexible regarding work assignments, understand the importance of teamwork, and are focused in delivering results. Previous experience in enterprise mobility or with CRM and SFA applications would be an added bonus. Some travel might be required.
