Facilities Technician

Sentinel Data Centers has several full and part time facilities technician positions available at our state-of-the-art, multi-tenant data center facility. These positions are for second and/or third shift and weekends.

Selected Candidate's Responsibilities Include:Monitor and operate chiller plant and HVAC systems.Inspect and maintain motors, Building Automation System (BAS/BMS), filters, fans, pumps, cooling towers, air handlers, and CRAC units (Computer Room Air Conditioners).Monitor and assist in the operation of UPS systems, diesel generators, electrical switchgear, and storage battery systems.Supervise technicians and contractors during installations, repairs and preventative maintenance.Verify that maintenance is performed at the specified intervals as per manufacturer specification and industry best practices.Monitor inventories of maintenance supplies, preparing orders when required.Record performance statistics for all systems. Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations.Be available for overtime and on call duties.Respond to emergencies as required.Perform tasks with minimal supervision and work independently as needed


Additional Requirements:Speak and understand EnglishUS citizenship requiredBasic Computer skills including the ability to use word processor and spreadsheet programs.Have a valid driver’s licensePossess people skills and the ability to work directly with customers.Prior employment in a facilities environment such as Telecommunications, healthcare, transportation (airport/airline/mass transit), the military, or a data center is desired
Applicants with military experience in repair and/or operation of critical systems are encouraged to apply
HVAC or Electrical trade license or experience/certification in a related service field is a plus.
