Job Purpose Provide sales support to Account Managers

 

Location Landover, MD



Job Roles and Responsibilities:

· Manage existing sales leads and opportunities before initiating contact with required sales person

· Responsible for supporting all sales roles and providing stewardship over the daily internal sales processes

· Assist sales person in the preparation of draft proposals, RFI’s and RFP’s

· Attend conferences as required to find and follow up new opportunities.· Demonstrate York Telecom’s products to potential clients as required· Manage the internal database to ensure information on all accounts and/or prospects are up to date

· Manage multiple relationships with vendors, clients, and our partners

· Other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilitities

· Ability to work on own initiative, driving new opportunities creation through self managed programs

· Highly organized and able to communicate effectively in order to determine next sales task and resolve issues

· Ability to cope with multiple projects

· Ability to integrate with Federal/Commercial sales and marketing teams

· Team player with a clear capability to understand of York Telecom’s business

· Good problem solving skills.

· Ability to work well with deadlines and constant re-prioritization

  Ability to work independently

 

Education and Qualifications

· Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

· 1 – 2 yrs  work experience preferred

· Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

· Familiarity with the functionality of the Internet

 

Additional Requirements:

· Ability of lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs.

· Frequent sitting, standing and walking

· Limited weekend and/or night work may be required  Limited domestic travel requiring multi-night stays within and at times outside the local work area

· Valid U.S. driver’s license is a requirement and must have a positive driver’s abstract

· Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts
