Field Engineer

Provides technical support to field installation and service personnel on Satellite and DSL based systems. Prepares reliability and performance analysis and reports, interfaces with customers, and supports customer training. Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Support customer pilot projects and the development of Installation specifications.Must be motivated to learn and work both as an individual and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.Physical requirements to include:(1) the ability to lift 60 lbs. to a standing height(2) carry antenna and other equipment to and from the point of installation.(3) carry, set up, and climb ladders to a height of 30 ft.Travel required often with short notice.Will also be responsible to provide technical support in an after hour on-call basis.QualificationsMust have excellent customer service skills.In depth knowledge of IP networking, telecommunications, and  understanding of Satellite based systems.Ability to learn in short order all of the specific details which will be required to support HNS communications equipment.Must possess the skills required to author technical documentation.Hughes is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.For more information about Hughes products and services, please visit www.hughes.com CONTACT INFORMATIONRef ID: 3066BR
