Field Marketing Professional

POSITION SUMMARY: Plan, organize and direct local marketing activities and events to achieve budgeted goals for the System.

MAJOR DUTIES: (May perform any or all of the following duties.)

•Develop and administer local sales / marketing plan including identification of objectives and actions programs to achieve overall business goals.
•Develop and coordinate marketing campaigns specific to system.
•Create and implement effective strategies to maintain and grow market share in competitive areas.
•Develop and control local operating budget for sales/marketing dept. to meet approved plans.
•Trains staff in product knowledge, competitive risks, sales skills and retention on a regular basis.
•Motivate staff through use of incentives, contests, and general cheerleading.
•Identify and propose plans for new business opportunities.
•Perform other related duties as assigned. Perform administrative tasks including but not limited to customer correspondence, meeting facilitation, filing, distribution of marketing materials.
•Act as back up for other marketing support positions.
•Basic understanding of MS Office suite of software (in particular Excel, Word and Powerpoint) to use as communication, analysis and presentations.
•Job requires ability to analyze, understand and report market trends, subscriber numbers and information, expenses tracking and sales results to and in support of management.
•Assist in preparation for monthly P&L review and annual budget process.
•Assist in preparation for various meetings and presentations. Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
B.A./B.S. Degree required. Preferably with concentration in marketing, business, creative writing, journalism and/or communications.

Minimum of 3 years marketing and/or product management experience. Minimum of 2 years cable experience or experience managing internal corporate communications a plus.

Strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others and develop consensus within diverse groups.

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are necessary to interface effectively with staff, department management and various other internal and external parties.

Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, negotiate, conceive of and create new ideas in a high-pressure and deadline oriented environment.

Ability to comprehend business needs and translate them into a deliverable marketing or communications plan.

Ability to self-manage projects with very high attention to detail.

Must have knowledge of computer software, with emphasis on PC programs including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance required.
