JOB DESCRIPTION: Finance Manager, FP&A Systems

LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA

 

Job Summary:This position will help design and manage our worldwide financial measurement systems to enable effective decision making. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analytics coupled with strong process and systems capabilities (Hyperion 9, Essbase). The position requires matrix management capabilities to communicate with and educate finance and non-finance personnel on business requirements and opportunities.  

 

We will consider individuals with various levels of experience.  Compensation and title will be commensurate with experience.

 

Specific responsibilities include: Manage existing processes and systems to produce reliable and insightful business reports, data and key performance metrics in a timely manner and at an effective cost.  Specific responsibilities include: Establishing and communicating governance framework including disciplined procedures and policies.Lead Hyperion administrators in monthly reporting activities including extraction and validation of data from Oracle and Peoplesoft, load statistical and allocation data, post recurring and top side entries, and creating Hyperion reports for actuals, forecast and budget reporting. Maintain tools for loading data.Facilate ad-hoc reporting, querying and analysis requests.Proactive monitor the troubleshooting and resolution of real-time reporting systems issues.Working with world-wide FP&A team including management reporting lead, business leaders, and technical experts including IT and outside consultants to develop financial planning, analysis, and reporting systems strategy and roadmap.  Define short to long term priorities for the enhancements to existing systems including Hyperion System 9, Essbase Analytics, and Business Objects.Work with technical experts including process owners and information technology specialists to identify, evaluate and implement solutions that are automated, effective, and efficient.Support the use corporate change management methodologies and toolkits and process improvement techniques including Six Sigma and Lean.

 

Qualifications At least 8 years (at least 3 in management) of finance experience with a medium to large public company, preferably in the high-tech industry. Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA or CPA is a plus. Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, high energy, initiative and creativity.  Understanding of how managers and analysts use financial and operational information to make better business decisions. Working knowledge of business intelligence solutions and financial applications including Hyperion, Oracle and Business Objects. Strong communication skills.Able to work in a fast paced environment and comply with tight deadlines.
