The Financial Reporting Manager will be the company's resource for identifying and researching complex accounting issues. The manager will be a main point of contact for the external auditors and will prepare the annual audited financial statements as well as maintain and enhance the Company's accounting policies and procedures. The Manager will work closely with senior financial leadership, the external accounting firm as well as other department leaders within the company. The position will support merger and acquisition activity, legal entity reporting, consolidations, strategic planning and other accounting functions.
Evaluate new transactions for proper GAAP treatment inclusive of authoring the documentation of the company's accounting position with respect to such transaction. Research new accounting pronouncements and evaluate the impact of implementation. Communicate to management and provide recommendations relating to key options or positions. Prepare the memorandum necessary to document the impact of the new pronouncement and the positions the Company is taking. Coordinate/prepare monthly internal financial statements used for reporting to board of directors and lender group. Work with Accounting/Finance team to ensure timely and compliant reporting Prepare monthly and quarterly MD&A used for board and lender reporting. Coordinate all aspects of the year end external audit and quarterly reviews. Review supporting schedules of account balances in connection with the year end external audit process. Coordinate / prepare audit binder. Draft / author the annual audited financial statements, inclusive of ensuring adequacy of footnote disclosures. Assist management and Internal Audit department with Sarbanes Oxley compliance efforts and reporting requirements. Maintain and enhance documentation of accounting policies and procedures. Required Skills

Experience in researching, interpreting and applying GAAP to complex accounting issues. Experience in complex areas of accounting including derivatives, business combinations, FAS 123R, revenue recognition, impairment, consolidation rules (VIEs), asset retirement obligations, taxation and contingencies. Strong oral and written communications skills and ability to implement processes and drive results. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with high level of organization and attention to detail. Solid organizational and planning skills with ability to work in a high volume and strict deadline environment. Required Experience

Must have a Bachelors degree and a CPA is required with 7+ years of progressive experience, Big 4 experience preferred. *CB
