Financial Reporting Manager to $100K

W2 Executive Search Group is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager with 5+ years broad range financial reporting and analysis experience.  The ideal Financial Reporting Manager will be a technical expert with extensive experience with SQL and MS Access. 

 

Job Purpose:

Monitors financial performance by preparing and analyzing financial reports; improving reporting and analyzing processes; managing staff.

Duties:

* Accomplishes financial reporting human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

* Achieves financial reporting operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.

* Meets financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

* Prepares financial reports by supervising the collection of monthly, quarterly, and annual operating information; preparing consolidations and cash flow statements; following Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).

* Evaluates financial condition by analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual operating information and consolidations; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management; conducting accounting research; providing recommendations; revising forecasts.

* Provides management planning and control information by assembling and analyzing historical financial data; identifying trends; providing forecasts; coordinating internal audit requirements; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.

* Supports operating management by compiling special information and analyses; preparing recommendations; tracking change implementation.

* Improves financial reporting process by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes.

* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging financial reporting practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

* Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills/Qualifications:

*  Minimum Bachelor Degree in Business or Information Systems or equivalent experience

*  3+ years project management/leadership experience with system implementation and development

*  Familiarity with SQL, Business Objects and Sharepoint

*  Proficient with Excel, Word and MS Access
