Graphic Designer

Purpose:

Work closely with marketing and traffic managers to conceive, plan, design, and produce integrated communication systems that meet the goals of both internal and external customers. Design and produce marketing materials for print, email and web for Fortune 500 clients (including Coca-Cola, Hilton, Yahoo, Merrill Lynch, American Express, Xerox). In addition to designing layouts and mock-ups, will also prepare print mechanicals, work with print vendors to gather quotes as necessary, release files, and review proofs; design, code and test html emails, and work with development team to push digital files to production; design mock-ups for websites and work with web development team to implement designs.

 

The ideal candidate has a strong design and production background, a can-do attitude, is detail-oriented and can work quickly and accurately, and has experience working in a corporate environment. Willing to develop experience in print and web design, corporate identity and branding strategies of Fortune 500 and global companies, and production of both print and web.

Primary Responsibilities:Review creative briefs, meet with marketing managers and other stakeholders, and develop communication solutions as requiredDesign and produce marketing collateral and media to support client launches and campaigns (such as direct mailings, brochures, newsletters, emails, advertising, posters, website mock-ups, etc.) Graphic design, production and print buyingDesign, code, and test HTML emailsCreate website and application interface mock-upsAdditional internal creative projects as necessary.Participation in corporate meetings and other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

 

BA in graphic design or equivalent experience. Training in graphic design, HTML & CSS, and print production with 2-3 years experience, preferably in a corporate environment. Must be detail-oriented and able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple projects independently, and under tight deadlines. Good working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, & Illustrator, MS Office, HTML, and CSS. Knowledge of Flash a plus. PC or MAC literate. Good communication, typographic and organizational skills.
