HW Engineering Lead

JDSU, headquartered in San Jose, CA, has an opportunity for an Engineer interested in development for our Raleigh, North Carolina site. Become a key contributor in supporting the design and sustaining of all products and projects. In this role, you will lead a small, elite team developing products from concept to completion.QualificationsTo qualify, you should possess the following traits:· BSEE or equivalent experience (required)· Digital design experience in - Microcontroller/processor, DSP, Programmable Logic (FPGA, VHDL, Verilog, etc.) (required)· Schematic and layout PCB design experience in multilayer designs (required)· Ideal candidate would have demonstrated experience developing, documenting and implementing prototypes or testing HW based portable instruments. · Demonstrated knowledge of electrical engineering design concepts (required)· Familiarity with standard software and hardware development tools (debuggers, issue databases, spectrum analyzers, power meters, etc.) (required)· Good written and oral communications skills (required)· Strong analytical and problem solving skills and abilities (required)· Experience designing for contract manufacturing desired.. Experience with CE-Mark and NEBS environmental qualification
