Job Description:

Develop and maintain scripts and tools related to the hardware design process.  Work with hardware design community to define requirements and deliverables.  Develop, test, release and maintain scripts.  Configure and maintain LSF cluster to support compute intensive activity (simulation, synthesis, etc).  Support hardware and symbol

development activity while developing hardware tools infrastructure.

 

In addition to script development/maintenance, 3rd party application installation/support is required for a variety of hardware design tools (Verilog, Allegro, ViewDraw, etc.).  This support may include interfacing with the application vendor and driving them to resolve the issue.

 

This is an independent position and requires and individual that is motivated and takes initiative to identify and solve problems.  The candidate will need to work with counterparts at other locations (Westford and Bangalore) to provide support and ensure consistency between the locations.

 

Working knowledge of code/script development required.  This includes the following tools/processes:

programming or scripting language (prefer Perl)

revision control systems (prefer RCS/CVS)

bug/feature/enhancement tracking

regression testing

documentation

 

Experience:

BSEE or BSCS

3 yrs experience UNIX scripting (Perl preferred)
