Description
This position contributes to One Communications' success by identifying, developing, implementing and managing Human Resource solutions and functions; ensuring business goals are met through successful partnerships. Provide Supervisors, Managers and Directors counsel regarding performance management, employee relations and other Human Resource related issues. Respond to all employee relations concerns and complete any required investigations into complaints and concerns that are voiced by the employees within your assigned regional and/or functional areas. Ensure consistency of performance management and other disciplinary actions for employees within your assigned regional and/or functional areas. Serves as a resource to all employees when their needs can not be met through their managers by representing employee opinions on policy issues, facilitating conflict resolution between employee and his/her manager or providing advice/counsel to individual employees. Intervenes in sensitive areas that cannot be handled as effectively with out legal risk by line management (e.g. harassment cases, management abuse, human rights situations, and illegal acts by employees.) Identify/recognize trends as they occur, diagnose root causes and make recommendations to resolve issues. Implement solutions to issues in your assigned regional and/or functional areas regarding hiring, coaching and management development issues. Deliver basic process and policy training to the Management population re: legal guidelines, process information, interviewing, and performance management. Assist in the development and recommendations of Human Resource policies / guidelines and objectives. Identify, develop, and manage special projects to enhance One Communications' human asset effectiveness. Ensure all paperwork to process HR transactions is complete and submitted timely Engage other functions within Human Resources to collaborate on trend identification, solution development and implementation. Represent Human Resources through participation in cross - functional projects / teams in support of key business initiatives. Required Skills
Challenging established methods and recommending improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations and systems. Ensuring that the (internal) client is being served through facilitation and consultation (in other words, teaching them to use HR systems/processes vs. doing it for them.) Ability to successfully influence diverse individuals over whom you have no direct control but must get to the desired outcome in order to mitigate company risk and ensure colleague commitment. Can recognize the broad implication of an issue. Can see the impact, connection, relationship of one issue and/or initiatives to other issues and/or initiatives outside one's own objectives. Gathers relevant information systematically; considers a broad range of issues or factors; grasps complexities and perceives relationships among problems or issues; seeks input from others; uses accurate logic in analysis; identifies root causes; uses sound judgment in decision-making & problem solving. The ability to consider a wide range of internal & external factors when solving problems and making decisions. Ability to anticipate and prioritize multiple priorities from multiple sources, and to switch direction quickly. Ability to identify all of the critical aspects and implications of a colleague relations issue. Ability to influence and provide direction to managers on a variety of topics High level of self initiative MS Office Suite; Word & Excel Required Experience
B.S. Degree in Business preferred or related degree. Experience working with performance management systems Solid business acumen Strong internal consulting skills 4+ years in a coaching, advising, consulting role with the ability to be a strong listener, with negotiating, selling and influencing skills.
