JOB TITLE:  Human Resources Generalist

 

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources Department

LOCATION: Evansville, Indiana

COMPANY:Cinergy Communications

REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides support to the Human Resource Department (“HR”) on a variety of HR related issues such as benefit administration, new hire process, associates relations, administrative support and record keeping.  Point of contact for associates and management for inquiries on Company policies and procedures and general AR questions. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:Work with associates and management alike to answer HR related questions in a professional and timely mannerUnderstand and uphold Company policies and proceduresAssist with new hire orientation Assist management during new hire procedure as necessary (pre-employment screening)Record keeping responsibilities as requiredAssist with revisions to policies, procedures, handbook, etc.Post open positions as requiredWork close with the Payroll Department to resolve issuesAssist with miscellaneous HR issues such as Worker’s Comp, Unemployment, Company activities, etc.Work with Benefits Administrator on benefit related issues

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education/Training/Experience:Bachelor Degree preferred, but not required3+ years of experience in a Human Resources position.Experience with MS Office productsExperience with HRIS systems (Oracle preferred)

Skills/Knowledge/Personal Qualities:Knowledge of Human Resources practices and policiesWorking knowledge of insurance processes and proceduresSuperior interpersonal skills, ability to work well with othersExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work under pressureAdaptability, flexibility, and creativityMature professional attitudeProfessional appearance

 Working Conditions:Work in a normal office environmentWillingness to work evenings and/or weekends if needed
