ICommunity Relations/Customer Advocate

Position Summary: Will support Marketing/Sales and Community Affairs teams with a variety of projects.

Essential Job Function:
- Educate new and existing customers through door to door contact and assist in driving video, high-speed internet and phone.
- Retain video, high-speed internet and phone customers by answering product and service questions and suggest information about other products and services
- Help staff local community events throughout the event season.
- Solve product or service issues by listening the customer's concerns, determining the cause of the difficulty, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment of the matter and following up to ensure the issue has been resolved
- Conduct event research for local community events, sponsorships and other programs/campaigns
- Assist in planning and implementations of Comcast Cares Day
- Distribute and manage projects related to volunteer activities and other employee focused campaigns (i.e. employee incentives, competitive marketing initiatives, etc.)
Other Functions – May perform any or all of the following job functions
- Attend product awareness classes and continuing education through Comcast University
- All other duties as assigned.

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the Internet.
- Ability to communicate and interact with customers and staff in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to organize and prioritize effectively
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must have valid IL drivers license with an acceptable driving record
- Vehicle which can be used for the job to travel to and around the North and Northwest suburbs
- Must be able to work a flexible 40 hour a week work schedule

Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Some college coursework preferred
