IP Operations Engineer

Requirements POSITION PROFILE:Our team has a fantastic opportunity for SENIOR LEVEL IP Talent in Broomfield or Atlanta. Position has a terrific base salary plus bonus, top notch benefits, and quarterly award of restricted stock units.IP Operations Engineers have intimate knowledge of the Network and networking protocols along with excellent communication skills, and should be able to perform in-depth troubleshooting of all transport issues that arise, often communicating directly with vendor technical support. Additional responsibilities include the daily management of the network to include; defining priority levels and response times for network events, continually upgrading the network equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Verifying Methods of Procedures (MOPs) prior to work being scheduled and executed (GCRs) * Technical Support to all Dedicated Network Operations Centers (DNOCs), Premier IP TSC on transport systems * Integration Support * Perform root cause analysis and provide proposed corrective actions * IT support and development * Architecture, Planning, Engineering, and Deployment Support * Create and execute procedures to address corrective actions and resolve chronic failures.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Technologies: * Good understanding of IP routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and ISIS. * Good understanding of MPLS, LDP and RSVP. * Good understanding of layer 2 technologies specifically Ethernet (FastEthernet, GigabitEthernet and 10GigabitEthernet). * Understanding of QoS. Equipment: * Good knowledge of Cisco routers and switches including the 12000, 7600, and 7200 platforms. * Good knowledge of Juniper routers including the M-series and T-series. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: * Experience in service offerings such as L2VPN, L3VPN and VPLS. * Experience with other Layer 2 and Layer 3 equipment providers.Typical # of year experience: 10 Travel required: 5% Minimum level of education: Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience Is driving a requirement?
