IPF Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities of Position:

The individual performing this job provides development of protocol applications for the IPF/IP Core layer of the SLU/SNCP.

Technical Skills:

Required:

Knowledge and experience with telecommunications protocols i.e.:  SS7, CAMEL, WIN, INAP, ISUP, TUP, TCAP, as well as protocols in the IMS domain SIP and DIAMETER.

Languages and OS:  C/C++, Unix, Linux, Java

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

Experience:  4 or more years

Education:  BSCS or BSEE, but other degrees are accepted if experienced

Skills:  Able to communicate well, work independently; demonstrate initiative.  Understanding complex interactions between communication network elements and system components.  Experience with performance and high availability and real time aspects of application development.

Desirable Skills & Success Factors:

Desired:

Kornshell, Perl, Rational Rose, XML.  Telephony and IP networks experience. Java Servlet Technology.
